Jill Ballesteros-Bowman lives by the quote: “Take advantage of life’s opportunities, do not allow them to take advantage of you”. is a native of Los Angeles, CA, and a 2014 Cum Laude graduate of Paine College. While at Paine, she majored in Psychology with an emphasis in Counseling. She has her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is currently working on her Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree in Counselor Education and Supervision through The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
She became an intern at Life Management Group in September 2018 and has remained with the practice since then. Her clinical experience includes:
- Couples Counseling: Relationship building and Saving your Marriage before it Starts (SYMBIS) Facilitator
- Teens: Substance Abuse IOP Treatment Support Group for Girls ages 14-17 Facilitator
- Individual Counseling: Anger Management, Anxiety, Depression, and Stress Management

She tremendously enjoys being around, getting to know, and talking to people. Her passion stems specifically from helping others by providing a listening ear. For her, one of the best feelings comes from helping someone turn a negative into a positive. In her down time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, traveling, and watching her favorite show Law and Order SVU.
Jill says: My hope and wish are to be an effective resource for all my clients. One of my main goals is to produce more solutions instead of increasing problems. One of my goals as a counselor/ therapist is to motivate my clients to make effective changes in their lives.
Anxiety
Clients experiencing anxious episodes that include: excessive anxiety or worry, finds it difficult to control worry, and the anxiety or worry can cause diminished actions or behavior in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning.
Depression
Client may also experience noticeably reduced interest in activities. Client could also be feeling fatigued and experiencing anxious distress.
