Marsha enlisted in the US Army in 2000 and was medically retired in 2007. She graduated from Wayland Baptist University obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science Occupation and Education in Human Services and began working with Child Protective Services. She began her Master’s Degree in counseling with coursework in Education and Human Resources. Being a Vocational Rehabilitation student through the Department of Veterans Affairs she decided to focus on various internships that would broaden her true passion; helping veterans.
After completing her Masters degree she accepted employment at San Antonio College as an adjunct professor and Vocational, Career, and Educational Counselor as well as a Veterans Certifying Official. Later, she founded Veterans Advocacy Support and Training (VAST) which further served to fuel her desire to serve the veteran community and foster development with other organizations.
Now she is working with Life Management Group to build a strong, lasting veterans service program with the objective to help vets and vets families with goal setting, training, transitional assistance, and consistent followup to reduce the challenges and disappointments they may face. She is also a member of AA-PTSD, which helps her to gain the knowledge in the claims process to further assist her veteran clientele, as well as obtain her national certification as a claims representative.
